What are the Common Core State Standards?
The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) are K–12 learning goals for mathematics and English language arts, published in 2010 by the National Governors Association and the Council of Chief State School Officers. Each standard has a code, such as 3.NF.2 for fractions on a number line in grade 3, and most US states teach the CCSS or standards built on them.
GradeAid includes all 2,349 standards and sub-standards, organized by grade and domain, from counting and cardinality in kindergarten to high-school functions and literacy in history and science. You choose them when you plan, and GradeAid keeps track of which ones your class has covered.

Real Common Core standards in GradeAid
Every standard keeps its official code and wording. Choose one, and GradeAid builds the lesson around it.
Understand a fraction as a number on the number line; represent fractions on a number line diagram.
Conduct short research projects that build knowledge through investigation of different aspects of a topic.
Understand that the probability of a chance event is a number between 0 and 1 that expresses the likelihood of the event occurring. Larger numbers indicate greater likelihood. A probability near 0 indicates an unlikely event, a probability around 1/2 indicates an event that is neither unlikely nor likely, and a probability near 1 indicates a likely event.
Evaluate a speaker's point of view, reasoning, and use of evidence and rhetoric, identifying any fallacious reasoning or exaggerated or distorted evidence.

Common Core questions
Yes. GradeAid includes all 2,349 Common Core standards and sub-standards for mathematics and English language arts from kindergarten to grade 12, each with its official code and wording. We last checked them against the published standards in May 2026.
Yes. Besides the Common Core, GradeAid includes the standards of all 50 states and Washington, DC, such as Texas TEKS and Florida's B.E.S.T., plus NGSS for science and the C3 framework for social studies.
You choose the grade and the standards a lesson should cover. GradeAid then writes the objectives, activities and quiz questions to match those standards, and records which standards each lesson covers, so you can see your coverage across the year.
Every lesson is fully editable. Change objectives, swap activities and adjust pacing by hand, or ask Aidly, GradeAid's AI chat, to make the change for you. The AI drafts; you make the teaching decisions.
Individual teachers can start free, with no card needed. Planning directly from Common Core standards is part of the Pro plan, and schools can get a school-wide license.
GradeAid stores data in the EU (Google Cloud, Belgium) and never trains AI on teachers' uploads or students' work. Students don't chat with the AI: it's a planning tool for teachers. Schools can sign a data processing agreement.
