A math video lesson with a free worksheet and answer key for teachers

About the video

In the video a child finds 9 times facts by doing times 10 and taking one group away. At home 2 players use the trick on 11 problems, saying both steps out loud, and also write the column pattern from 09 to 90. 9 groups of a number is 10 groups minus one group, so 9 x 7 = 70 - 7 = 63, and this works for big numbers like 9 x 12 = 108. Each time you add 9, the tens digit goes up by 1 and the ones digit goes down by 1.
