A math video lesson with a free worksheet and answer key for teachers

About the video

In the video a child finds 8 times facts by doubling a number three times. At home 2 players take turns with 10 problems, and the player holds up one finger per double and says each step within 10 seconds. 8 = 2 x 2 x 2, so doubling once gives times 2, twice gives times 4 and three times gives times 8. The ones digits of the 8 times table go 8, 6, 4, 2, 0 and then repeat, and every answer is an even number.
